total bullshit press release...
Alternative reliever: Armed with its debut five-song EP, Sister Morphine - Colleen Brock - Barry (vocals), Chris Hinegardner (guitar), Jeff Ganelli (bass) and Les Horton (drums) - is billed as an unlikely mix between Social Distortion, Foo Fighters, Disturbed and Tool. "Yeah, that's pretty accurate," Ganelli said. "That's where we are. And we're growing. We're growing fast. We're getting a good fanbase, and everything is moving along really well for the band. I think it's the sound of the music. There's a lot of heavy metal out there in the Cleveland area, and our sound is more something that people can sit and drink and enjoy. It's got a good melody and rhythm to it." With plans for a full-length debut to be released early next year, the quartet celebrates its EP with a free release show at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Phantasy Nightclub, 11802 Detroit Ave., Lakewood.
